The Walnut Creek City Council has approved the $400,000 Downtown Enhancement Initiative (DEI) funds,

provided as a result of the Broadway Plaza expansion, to improve the vitality of the downtown area.
Walnut Creek Downtown (WCD) will lead nine of the 13 beautification and event projects.
