Movies Under the Stars: July 14 & August 25
Outdoor theater at its best! Spend a warm summer night watching favorite movies under the stars in downtown Walnut Creek. Over 1,000 neighbors, family & friends bring their own blankets & chairs to Civic Park to enjoy an evening movie al fresco!
Oktoberfest: October 14
Lace up the dirndl dress and don the lederhosen – Autumn starts with Walnut Creek’s third annual Oktoberfest. Presented by Walnut Creek Downtown and the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau, this free, day-long, family friendly festival recreates the beloved German traditional Fall celebration. The 2016 event welcomed over 10,000 guests to this downtown event located on Locust Street between N. Civic Drive & Mt. Diablo Blvd.
Trick or Treat: October 27
Calling all goblins, superheroes, princesses and witches! Creep through downtown Walnut Creek collecting Halloween treats from participating businesses. The downtown sidewalks are full of over 1,000 trick-or-treaters!
Walnut Creek Downtown and the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau kick off the winter season at the 13th annual Walnut Creek on Ice, in the heart of downtown at Civic Park. The partially enclosed ice rink welcomes skaters of all ages and abilities to tie on a pair of ice skates and skate daily through January 2018. The rink offers birthday parties, private ice, a skating academy and themed nights throughout the season. Walnut Creek on Ice welcomes over 43,000 skaters each year while over 120,000 on-lookers take part in the seasons' festivities.
