Walnut Creek Downtown is proud to announce a new musical art project called, “Painted Pianos”! Ten pianos have been donated by Steinway Piano Gallery and hand-painted by local artists.
Pianos are located throughout the downtown and the Community Arts – Shadelands Campus. The project goal is to bring community members together to create musical memories in downtown Walnut Creek!
** Special Tunes at Twelve Event - Tuesday, October 15 Noon-1pm **
Liberty Bell Plaza (1400 Mt. Diablo Blvd./Il Fornaio) Festival Opera artist, Lila Khazoum - Soprano & Zachary Gordin - pianist & Artistic Director, will be performing from their opera and art song repertoire including music of Schumann, Arditi, Bellini, and more.
** Special Event - Friday, October 4 5:30-6:30 pm **
Piano Composer 'Flash Mob' at Broadway Plaza's Painted Piano
If you love great original piano music, walk or drive over to Broadway Plaza's Event Plaza (between Macy’s and True Foods)
Members of Walnut Creek-based Contra Costa Performing Arts Society will be playing the Painted Piano!
